I am an IvyPlus Exchange Scholar at Stanford University. I finished my PhD in Applied Economics (Finance) from Cornell University.
My research focuses on Financial Intermediation, Corporate Finance, Political Economy, and Contract Theory.
Starting in September 2026, I will join the School of Banking and Finance at the University of New South Wales as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor).
I publish under my Chinese name, Haokun Sun; I often go by Sam.
